Anyone looking for a new bow? Why?

Anyone looking for a new bow or is it just me? I have not even had this one for a year and I am already wanting to upgrade. My wife and I both decided to upgrade this year, both bows are listed in classifieds if anyone is interested. I think I might try a bowtech for awhile and see how that works. I am really just wanting to get something with parallel limbs and I don't like the way the Trykon lets down. Anyone have their preferences and why?

these bows are fantatastic, extremely smooth very low shock, vibration, and low hand torque, plus you getall the speeds to go with them.

I have the Black mamba extreme and love it.

grizzlyplumber---good deal??? $950 doesn't sound that good to me! I would be looking for something under $550 to get a Switchback xt or buy it new for $750(just for the hat;-) )

I stil need to sell my Hoyt xtec before I can buy something---probably a Tribute or switchback xt---but I can't do anything without the cash! Bow shoots great, just doesn't seem right for me though.

I was wondering how many people actually upgrade their equipment one step at a time???

IMO go for the switchback. I love mine. really smooth draw and shot. The first time i shot it i was scared. When i pulled the trigger on my release it felt like nothing happened. I had to look at the bow to make sure the arrow wasnt still there. Very quiet too.

I had a Bowtech Patriot for 4 years which I destroyed while using it as a rollbar on an ATV(better to break the bow than my neck) but it was awesome. I repraced it with the Bowtech Patriot II which is the same basic bow and it also is amazing.
I shot lots of bows before selecting the first one and then did the same when I replaced it.

a3dhunter, I'm curious, you say the bow shoots great but isn't for you? Hoyt's new 2007 lineup will be out soon and maybe a cam change is just what you need. That riser is one of the most accurate and forgivable made on a modern hunting bow. They have come out with 11 new bows this year and have some new cams as well. If you can change your cams and cable to create the feel you need you may save some $$. The Bowtech boys will be offering some new models for 2007 for sure and there will be some great stuff there as well. Good luck and I hope you find something that works well for you.

3d - I started bow hunting again af ter 20 years off. I shot a Bowtech and a Parker. Just shoot one and you'll love it. I shoot a Phoenix 34. It is lightning fast ibo speed of 310 and super quiet. I consistently hit tight groups out to 55 yards. Just took my 2nd deer in a row. I love bow hunting.

I upgrade my accessories all the time. Whenever I find something new that I like, I'll go test it out at a local shop. I have a PSE that I bought off a friend and it's at least six years old and man, I wouldn't shoot anything else. Works for me real well. I got it two years ago, and shot my first buck this year. Performed perfect!!!

I bought a Tribute, should be here in a couple days. After shooting everything I really liked the way it shot. I have my worries and doubts about bowtech but I'll give it a try.

Go shoot a Ross, you won't be disapointed.
After all my research, Ross was the one for me..

Sorry to hear it had to much hand shock for you, I have never heard any one say that about the ross, but it's all about personal preference when it comes to selecting a bow.
Good luck in your selection of a new bow!!!
