I had these pictures sent to me back in 2019, with the story of the buck being hit by a car in southern utah county. I want to know if anyone knows what really happened. Especially if anyone has pics of this buck on the hoof. Im a mule deer junkie, and love just looking/thinking/hunting/or talking about big bucks. Any and all info would be appreciated.

I would imagine it migrated off Camp Williams towards the farms at south end of Utah Lake.
Those big bucks don’t often leave Camp Williams but when they do SR68 is not very forgiving.
UDOT’s Master Plan has 3 lanes each direction with a refuge lane in the middle running from SR 68 west then south to the town of Fairfield.
Without multiple tunnels underneath that highway, a Deer does not stand a chance in spring or fall migration.

Well the story I heard wasnt too far off. Do you or your family happen to have pics of this buck on the hoof? I remember seeing a nice buck that would feed in the empty lot just south of Tractor Supply (that is now being built on), and I also saw it just north of Stokes in the fields.

I don't have any pics of him.... There was one other 200 inch buck that was hit by a car and a kid found him behind stokes just a couple weeks after this one was hit..... 2017 had 3 200 inch bucks killed by vehicles between Spanish, Salem and Payson... kind of weird.

Should have killed him during the hunts if we knew he was gonna get hit by a car.

Wow, what a stud buck. Hate to see them survive so long only to get thumped by a car, it's the second worse way for them to go.

Good to know the story. I had wondered about it for a few years now. I grew up not far in Benjamin, and would see deer along the slew, but nothing like those bucks

This can't be true. I'm told by a close friend that there are no big deer left in Utah. Has to be photoshopped, if my good buddy is to be trusted.

Well, look at the first picture of the left antler. Then look at the second picture of the left antler. It's girth has doubled between the pictures. I suppose one could explain it based on camera angle, but the edges of the antlers look strange in each shot. Just sayin'...

I can 100% say that those are not photoshopped…. Deer had unreal mass and blades….. it’s the camera angle… ha ha who would have guessed a deer killed by a car in 2017 would finally make it to MM in 23 and have someone say it’s photoshopped… Guess it’s always fun to try to be a hero ??

Kinda like the pic you posted with angles…. I bet you post a front pic of this bull and he doesn’t look half as good…

Didn’t know you were directly involved with the pic- I thought it was plucked off the internet somewhere. I’ll take it back (didn’t intend to offend)- it just looks so very different- normal antler to super massive antler. Good angle I suppose…
