Any Past 40-1 Deer Hunters

I have a 40-1 deer tag and will be headed to Idaho on Nov 5th for a 10 day hunt. I have some good info for around Silver City. Since I've not hunted this area and may never draw the tag again, I'm looking for some suggestions for a back up plan in case things don't come together during the first part of the hunt. Talk to the ranchers, most of them if you talk to them will let u hunt and will be more than happy to see u shoot something that takes feed from their cattle, South mountain i have always heard is suppose to be good although my brother didnt have much luck when he drew that tag. Things i thought looked better up cow creek, like i said the ranchers will have the best idea, unless ur sporting california plates u should be welcomed with open hands.

That's not been my experience. But well worth asking. I've seen plenty of nice deer on the private.
