I have picked up brown forkeys already but i am still seeing nicer buck with both sides i have just never noticed so many smaller bucks dropping before the larger anyone else think Al Gore was right and it has to be global warming lol.

I agree with hornkiller, the last couple years I have noticed that the small guys start it off, maybe its just because there are so many more of them that some of them drop sooner.

One theory I have is it depends on when a buck was born, if he was born earlyer in the year he will drop his sheds earlyer ever year, if he was born latter he will drop alot latter.

Just something I have been kicking around in my head.

All I know is that all the horns here run away when I get close to pick them up, how do you guys do it?? I must be showing my age.

I watched 2 big ones lock horns 2 days ago expecting to see both sets fall off, no such luck. Watched a really big one kicking at alternately both sides of his rack or possibly trying to scratch the base of his ears, again he had my attention but walked away intact. 4 more weeks to go here. Maybe 6 as mild as the winter has been.

lol i don't know about that. I have noticed the same thing over here on the east side of the state it is kind of odd. But all we can do is keep watching the bigger ones until they drop. Thanks for the advice by the way i was wondering if you find more on particular slopes? where i'm from in Wyoming we found most of our sheds on south facing slopes is it the same around here?

I picked up both side of a small 3pt. yesterday. I have been watching a nice buck for a few weeks now hope to find his sheds.
The chucker hunters did a pretty good job of moving them around(Thank God bird season is over) I saw a pretty big 4x4 still had both sides.
What part of idaho are you from Idbonecollector ? I live in Fruitland

I went and checked on two nice deer yestersday I have been watching. one is a nice heavy 4x4 and his buddy is a 3x3 that is about 24' wide. They were both still packing both sides. I expect them to drop within the next two week or so. we just got pounded with snow here in eastern Idaho. 4 to 5 inches in the vally so a foot or so in the hills.
