Any elk finds in Montana yet?

I went out on Monday, and hiked along a game range border that wass holding several thousand elk. Not too many were outside despite the weather. I did locate a bachelor group of about twenty bulls that we're hanging out right on the edge. There we're some nice bulls but everyone was packin' as far as I could tell.
Anybody found that first freshie in Montana?

Are you in the Great Falls area? I usually look around Yellowstone, but probably not this spring. I might have to wait until early June and find the ones missed early.

Arent you from Seeley? Ive always heard you guys didnt exactly walk the boundary on that CWBGR. If you did at least all the bulls will be rounded onto the game range since its real dang early.

Nothing yet. The earliest I have found in past years was March 20. They were a 32 lb 380 set. No wonder they came off early.

I am from Seeley, how'd ya know? Where are you at? However I wasn't along the CWBGR, not much border worth walking there. It gets poached for sure as your implying. I'm waiting patiently till the 15th. They were safely in the middle of the place as I drove by yesterday.

That's one great find Bittersweet, if only we're so lucky this year!
