Any elk dropping?

Well we had the first elk of the year drop. In some fields with a million people watching him. One day he showed up with one side and you can guess what happened. Chaos! Anyone else see any dropping yet?

saw a picture this evening on another forum of a "cow" elk with bumps on her forehead. This is out on the west coast of Oregon, on an elk refuge. The roosie's are dropping already.....

That means Littlefoot should be getting us some pictures soon!

I havent seen any dropping yet, still got about a month around here. I have seen 6 points hang on as long as end of april, most are gone by tax day though.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-23-06 AT 08:09AM (MST)[p]The premature panic hits every year doesn't it? One bull loses an antler and then all of a sudden word gets around that the elk are dropping racks like mad and everybody is out and about looking and scaring the animals all over the place.

Relax and it'll start happening in mid to late March like it does every year....but most will drop antler in April. However, I agree that a guy can get pretty antsy waiting that long...I know I am!
