Any Book Cliffs reports yet?

My brother is a taxidermist and said he had a guy bring in a 25 inch spread buck that was real pretty and had a cheater; real long tines. He said it scored in the 170s. Thats all I have heard of.

I was just there for 4 days hunting elk with a friend. I have never been there before. We Set out 3 trail cameras and took over 250 photos of deer, elk and bats. The deer are ok but didn't see any real monsters. If you see a buck with a 26? or 27? spread and good front forks don't pass it up. A lot of the deer I saw had good mass but had crap claws for front forks.

The elk were mostly nocturnal when I was out there. But they were starting to bugle. The largest elk I saw was a 340 bull. There were lots of 5 points and 5x6 must be the genetics out there.

This is a good unit for family hunting with your kids but isn't what I look for in a draw unit.

Good Luck!
