An Australian friend from my sailing days recently set a new world record for a Velocette. He built the motor himself out of a chunk of metal in his shop. The previous record holder was Burt Monro, of 'Worlds Fastest Indian" fame. I know by modern bike standards it's not fast but It's pretty cool anyhow.
