I found these antlers on Monday. These sheds are from the monster bull that was killed here in AZ last Sept ('03) by Nick Franklin that grossed 456". These sheds were grown during the horrible drought of 2002 and shed in the spring of 2003. The front 3 points are quite large while the top points suffered from the lack of feed. I've looked for these sheds for a long time and I guess Monday was my day. I picked a couple of ridges that I thought he might have spent some time on during the winter. I scored by finding these two beauties, they were only 60 yards apart. With a 44" spread they gross 388". When the bull was killed the same year he dropped these he had a 52 2/8" inside spread. The first 3 points on my sheds are a little better than Nick's bull but his 4ths and 5ths are all 7" longer than the sheds.
The mule deer antler I found that morning and is my best one at 81". Hope you all like the pics.
I'd have left them scrawny bleached bastards for the squirrels.....they ain't worth the sweat it would take to pack them out.....LMAO! Seriuosly...nice find Josh!
I've found a couple single sheds that are better but not a better non-typ set than this one. Glad you liked them, I sure like them sitting next to my computer desk with me.
