The garage is getting out of control with shed antlers. I have approx. 1500 with about 500 brownies. Any body know of any reliable antler buyers in Nevada or Oregon?
Hi, we are texcrantlers, we are utah's largest antler dealer,we are in utah every 2 weeks, we live in idaho, and are very interested in your antler, please e-mail [email protected], need to know if it is elk and deer , thanks scott
LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-05 AT 05:08PM (MST)[p]Why is it that a lot of antler buyers seem to give better deals to so and so but not you? Also why are the antler buyers so secretive about their prices? I'm not trying to ruffle too many feathers or cause too much trouble. A lot of you know that antler hunting can be pretty hard work (although quite enjoyable) and i'd like to know how much $$$ others are getting for what they are selling?
LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-05 AT 06:43PM (MST)[p]No Problem, We are paying 5-6.00/lb on brown elk, 3/lb on hardwhite, 1/lb on chalk, on deer and moose we pay from 6-12/lb on brown deer depending on size, 3-5/lb on hardwhite deer, .50-1.00/lb on chalk, we pay more for 350 or better bulls and 190 or better deer, we have nothing to hide we give a fair price thanks scott, texcrantlers
Thanks for your honest reply. Do you travel to Oregon on any of your buying sprees??? There are only a few antler buyers I know of in Central Oregon (my part of town) and the one who gives the best prices still seems like a bit of a rip off. I don't find as much as some of the folks on this site do, but on a good year I can find about 250 pounds or so of antler.
we did at one time come to the prineville, john day area, but haven,t in awhile, but if i could get 1000 pounds total horn i would come over anytime, you will find we grade pretty easy, this is a hobby for us we do not need to make a killing off of the antler by grading tough,or could meet you in boise area, thanks scott
