I Have some old Kitchen chairs that are in need of some repair. instead of cushion they have the old Straw weave, the weave is torn and my daughter falls through to the floor. I live in the Salt Lake area, Are there any mm'ers that work on antiques? or any recomandations.
Thanks in advance.

I'll tell you who it was . . . it was that D@MN Sasquatch!

Recaining antique chairs can get real spendy and there ain't enough people who know how to do it to make the market reasonable.

I would cut some plywood seats, add some hi density foam and an antique looking cloth that matches your furniture and attach them with tabs under the seat frame.

DO NOT put screws into the chair or otherwise mess up the cain retainers, that way, later, when you feel rich and famous, you can still have it redone.
