We use Microsoft Security Essentials. It is updated two or three times daily and is as good as it gets and is free.

well i went with the microsoft security essentials.

now my question-- i dont see it on my desktop? do i have to do anything? or does it just take care of itself?

i'm sure i downloaded it, in fact i tried to download it a second time because i couldn't find it and it said it was already installed to this computer, but is that it? my computer is protected?--- thanks
