I plan to try the little bit of public land available first and, if not getting much action, will look for some private and pay trespass fee if required. I've called a whole list of landowners already and a few were in my price range, but I don't want to commit to a place I've never set foot on or have any intel on. I've also talked with the bio and game warden for the area - both have been very helpful.
If anyone has any info on this unit they would like to share, like a good ranch they have hunted or any of the better public areas, it would be much appreciated. I would be happy to report back on my hunt to anyone who may be hunting there rifle season or archery hunting another year.
I don't care about trophy quality, just want a good hunt with lots of 'lopes to chase during the rut. Please PM and thanks in advance.
