Antelope unit 112-1

I drew this permit this year if anyone has hunted this area recently and would not mind giving a guy some areas to scout please pm me.Wonder how the quality will be this year?

I hunted this unit 2 seasons ago. Frankly, you are not going to find too much over 15". I scouted hard and killed a 79" buck and did not see anything else that thrilled me much. Its a fun hunt with a lot of goats, just don't plan on a B&C head. I went with a friend on an adjacent unit last year, and same story. Just depends on what you are looking for. As far as places to go--antelope are all over the unit. Throw a dart at a map of the unit and start there. Weed through the goats and hopefully you find what you are looking for.

Thanks for the information thats a dandy goat you harvested bonepiler 79" is huge in my book.Sounds like it might be hard to find good goats but I am sure it will be a good time.

I had a tag last year. I hunted 1 time with the bow and 3 times with the rifle. The biggest bucks I saw were on the bow hunt and first weekend of the antelope rifle. I was having so much fun watching the elk on Little Mtn. I kept on going back. I ended up getting a antelope the last time out. It probably did'nt even go 75. I did see some a little bigger though. I spent most of my time on Little Mtn. and that is where I camped. The biggest antelope I saw was on Little Mtn. I hunted Ramsey Ranch road and ended up getting my antelope on Clay Basin pipeline road. I talked to the game warden and he said later in the hunt they start to group up the north end of Little Mtn. I saw antelope spread out the whole unit though. When it rains though the roads are SLICK! I was in snow a couple of the weekend also. Good Luck!!
