I know that there were a lot of people on antelope island hunting sheds. I was one of them. me and a few friends found quite a few sheds. We found a few that we would like to find the match.. So if you found some up there post some pics, and we will do the same, if we have the other side of yours and you want it lets work out a trade, if you have a match to ours lets work out a trade. I think it would be pretty cool to match some of these sheds up.. let me know, good luck and good hunting....

I'm sorry I didn't go but i wanna know how that antelope island shed hunt worked?? Did you have to buy a pass, and how often will they let people look there for sheds?? Good luck on finding your match's,

That was the first time that I had heard of it. I found out through the state park service at antelope island. I had to purchase a pass it was 10 bucks, I camped on the island, and I cant remember how much the camp spot was. We saw a lot of deer still packing, all the sheds that we found were atleast a year old.
So we didnt find any fresh sheds, but the island was beautiful, chuckars everywhere, and between 7 of us we came up with about 20 sheds.. I dont if they are going to do it again. call the state park.. They should know..

The first shed hunt was last Sept, second was earlier this month, and the next one is April 15, although passes are sold out.

I spend a lot of time on the island filming and watching the bucks. I have several friends that have picked some awesome singles and a few big sets. I would be interested in comparing photos or the sheds themselves. I live in Roy and have a few big singles and one smaller (174) set.

I am also one of the guys that helps set up AntlerFest, which is a get together/fundraiser to show off racks and sheds held every year. Last year we held them at Roy and Spanish Fork. This year we are doing it at Cabelas. For more info on Antlerfest call me.

Also, even if you don't have a pass for the next shed hunt, bring your sheds out the the Garr ranch that day. Its a great way to check to what everyone brings off the mountain.

"..if we have the other side of yours and you want it lets work out a trade, if you have a match to ours lets work out a trade..."

How do you tell who has ownership? If each person both have a side, then technically each person would think it was theirs? LOL

That would be cool to match them up though! :)

well were not that technical. This is why we work it out. I am more than willing to help someone if I have a match to theirs.

we picked up a bunch of single 4 point sheds about 1 mile south of the ranch, above the steep ridge that has the water in the bottom. Just below the tallest point on the south end. We also picked up a bunch on the top of the south end. If you found yours close to the general area, take some pics, and email them to me. I will send you pics of ours, but it is going to take me a few days. Thanks I hope you have a match. We picked one up that scored 107 with 2 pints broken off. It is huge...That is the half I would like to find.... Thanks and good luck.. [email protected]

These are pictures of three sheds my buddy found on the island and would love to find the other sides.

send me a pm if any of you recognize these.

brutusthebuck--Those top two pics aren't a set?? They look like they could be a set to me just the one side is goofed.. I know it's hard to say that since all i have is pics but It just looks that way to me.. How far apart were the two fresh ones??

they were probably half a mile apart we are pretty sure they are not a set the mass is very different look at the main beam on the goofed one compared to the pop can and the bases are shaped different.

we only found one fresh shed, the rest were whities. The fresh shed scores 107 with two broke tines, but it look similar to the bottom one, with more mass. It was found about 1 mile below the ranch in a steep ravine with water, hopefully there will be some more people reply with pics... Those are some nice sheds I hope we can match a few. Do you plan on going out on the next one...

The bottom shed we scored at 107 but it is a year old the top shed was 97. No, I think all the tickets are sold out.

Might want to give Tony Abbot a call. Sorry, bad joke. Anyway, those are some great looking sheds. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Here's another set that was snatched up. Anyone know who this lucky feller might be? I think he lives in Northern UT?

Does anyone know anybody that restores sheds. I want to find someone that does a good job, and can make them look real.
