antelope in new mexico

trying to schedule hunts for this coming year. i know that a lot of new mexico is private land but are there good areas that are public land that a non-resident could hunt antelope non-guided?

Try going to the Antelope thread on Bowsite.com There is quite a bit of talk there about NM 'lope hunting.

there is very little public antelope hunting, bit there is ALOT of private land hunting for ok $ also check out the unlimeted archery season!

jds , I think the majority of land is private , but if you draw ,the game and fish will asign you to a private ranch . Land owners are in agreement with the NM Game and Fish , in order to get their own tags they must allow a certain amount of draw hunters in their land , it works pretty well .Where are you looking at , let me know if I can help dirct you in any way ...NMhuntnutt
