My buds hunted 93 several times and one even lived very close to the unit for years.

They said archery season is an awesome time to hunt them since they're mostly undisturbed. They always took good bucks in short order.

I don't know all the ins and outs of the unit but do NOT overlook the part of the unit right up in the fringe of the forest. The best pronghorns I've ever seen in that HA was while moose hunting.

Nice area to camp as well as a great time of year to do it. For me personally, I would find sitting water painfully boring, but if it works for you then you should do well in 93. You will have no trouble finding a good buck. Good luck!

Three years ago when I had a Unit 93 tag, it rained the entire month of August and half of Sept; sitting water was a total bust. There was so much of it they didn't stay focused on any one area and just wandered aimlessly. Some of the pans were flooded so badly that you couldn't even shoot across them, 100 yards plus! Spotting and stalking in the rain was the method then. The next year I had 98 and it was drier than a popcorn fart-they were keyed in on specific holes and came like clockwork! Just returned thru 93, 95, 96 and 89 this week and saw lots of animals, and some really good bucks. You should have a great year.

Sitting water is hot and boring to me, I would rather spot and stalk, also rain in that area will ruin your plans.

My first Lope hunt ever was in 93 and went there for the last full week of Sept back in 2007. Met up with a guy who lives on the edge of that unit and drove me around showing me the unit the day before I planed to hunt. Next morning I was out there early "dark" started to drive off the roadway across a bridge and lo and behold it started to snow on me. That was an interesting morning as the roads turned to gooey mess till I got up to a higher elev. and more snow. After awhile I found another road to get the heck out of there and come back the next day.
Day 2 turned out better as I went back the way I came out the day before and later that afternoon found a loner Buck coming out of the dark from a ravine.
I should have gone there during the first part of season as I am sure it would have a lot better. But I still had a good time and actually met up with Eelgrass and drove him around that whole county one day, great memories then.

Thanks guys. I dont mind sitting water, do it most years here in idaho.
I did hunt moose there years ago and i remember seeing some great antelope bucks way up high in the timber as well.
