well I got to go out today and this is what I found. The big 4 point measures an astonishing 30 inches tall and has a 6 1/8 circumference above the burr around the burr is 8 inches I think the big one is from the same buck I found last year and entered into the shed contest. now i just got to find that other half to see what he looked like.

Enjoy the pics

Nice find, Im going to start following you. I went out the last 2 days with no luck. Good luck finding the other side.

Hey BigBullHunter

Do you have any elk spotted up there yet that you are going to go after this year? I haven't seen many this winter, but I didn't have a late cow tag so I wasn't looking as much as the last two years either. I am glad that there are still some bucks like that on the Cache, I thought they all got shot this fall. Good find.

That sure is a nice shed, goodl luck on the match, be sure to post it when you find it. Nice pics too.

I moved to Az. a year and a half ago but I am pretty sure I have two years of that buck from extreme Northern Ut. Please e-mail me and I'll give you more specifics.

Well for all of you who are wondering I just scored the one side I found of the big 4 point and came up with a score of 106 without an inside spread and if the other side is identical and account for a 30 inch spread he would hit right at 242 gross B&C what a pig.... Now I am off to find the other side good luck to all
Here are the measurements: main beam 15 inches G2 18 inches G3 18 inches G4 14 1/2 inches from tip of G4 to Burr 30 inches H1 6 inches H2 4 1/2 inches

Total 106 inches
BBH

sorry everyone got a little confused there

Hey I dont see a 15 inch eyeguard BBH do you ? I would give that shed about 70 inches .

Cameron

YB not even high 70s low 70s I got a few 4 points like that . There only 67 to 74 inches . That would be a record man if it was a 242 gross typical . Lol .

Tip to burr? As the crow flies? I guess I measure sheds differently.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-11-05 AT 07:22PM (MST)[p]Maybe this pic will help. The 5 length measurments that you want to make on a typical antler are G1,G2,G3,G4, and Main Beam. This horn only has four measurements because there is not a G1. It is a nice antler, but I think there was some confusion. Good luck finding the other half!

No offense, but I've picked up bigger blacktail than that average mule horn. Keep looking for bigger and better.

I see where I screwed up now I followed the line from G2 all the way to the base. My bad sorry guys here is the score 77

BBH

Regardless of score it is still a nice find! I like your scoring method though....I would have some toads if I went that route! Keep at it and that 77 will turn into 100"+ someday....I am waiting on my 100"+ shed now...last year I got my 90"+ now onto the really big ones!

The best thing about public forum... no room for error.

Nice find. Did you pack the baby up the hill?
