elkassinasin stop at the store to day., they say yes' i brought two boxes of 22s while they last,,,?

I expected one today, most stores have expected it. I think it's already been going on for the last year. I haven't seen quite the bump today I thought there would be. Sales have been extremely strong this year already.

I think once there's more AWB talk than what we heard in the debate or if legislation is introduced it'll really pick up.

There's a crossroads of the west gunshow at Southtowne the 17th-18th. That should be a pretty good indicator of the market. Most vendors have anticipated this and have big inventories on lots of things like mags/guns. Some parts have been harder to come by and have already seen price increases like ar bolts/carriers.

As long as inventories are strong, prices won't be affected much.

This is why we need to worry. The UN treaty is calling for full registration of all firearms, ammo etc. It calls for bans on all sorts of firearms and accessories. It read the article, Obama dropped the discussion in June due to the election, and ultimately he will get started right away on this....

After Obama win, U.S. backs new U.N. arms treaty talks

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee's call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $60 billion global arms trade.

U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that negotiations collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge the United States denies.

The month-long talks at U.N. headquarters broke off after the United States - along with Russia and other major arms producers - said it had problems with the draft treaty and asked for more time.

But the U.N. General Assembly's disarmament committee moved quickly after Obama's re-election to approve a resolution calling for a new round of talks March 18-28. It passed with 157 votes in favor, none against and 18 abstentions.

U.N. diplomats said the vote had been expected before Tuesday's U.S. presidential election but was delayed due to Superstorm Sandy, which caused a three-day closure of the United Nations last week.

The U.S. mission had no immediate comment.

Countries that abstained included Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Belarus, Cuba and Iran. China, another major arms producer that has traditionally abstained from votes on this issue, voted in favor.

The resolution now goes to the 193-nation General Assembly for a formal vote. It is expected to pass.

The resolution said countries are "determined to build on the progress made to date towards the adoption of a strong, balanced and effective Arms Trade Treaty."

It also expressed "disappointment that (the July treaty session) was unable to conclude its work to elaborate a legally binding instrument on the highest possible common international standards for the international transfer of conventional arms."

ADVOCACY GROUP: STRONG TREATY NEEDED
The resolution says that if all states are not able to agree on a deal in March, the United Nations will keep the treaty on its current agenda. So if the March talks fail, the General Assembly could vote on it in 2013.

Jeff Abramson, Director of Control Arms, an coalition of advocacy groups, urged states to agree on a strong treaty.

"Every day we are reminded of the need to bring the arms trade under control," he said. "In Syria, we have seen the death toll rise well over 30,000, with weapons and ammunition pouring in the country for months now."

"While agreeing on a deal next year is what's needed, we do not want any arms trade treaty," he said. "We need a treaty that will set tough rules to control the arms trade, that will save lives and truly make the world a better place."

Britain's U.N. mission said on its Twitter feed it hoped that the March negotiations can agree on the final text of a treaty. Such a pact would then need to be ratified by the individual signatories before it could enter into force.

The National Rifle Association, the powerful U.S. interest group, strongly opposes the arms trade treaty and had endorsed Romney.

Arms control advocates had hoped Obama would back the treaty if he was re-elected.

The United States has denied it sought to delay negotiations for political reasons, saying it had genuine problems with the draft as written.

The UN, obummermusslim and his socialist regime most likely believe the SHEEPLE will bury their heads in the sand and allow europe to dictate what the citizens of the United States do. Some of us have sworn an oath to protect this country from any enemy, foreign or domestic. If obummermuslim attempts to force this bs things will get real ugly, real fast.
PI$$ ON THE UN AND obummermuslim!

I think the american public will stand by and take this up the azz. We haven't stopped Obama yet at anything. Oh people will get fired up, then it will pass and nothing we can do about it. I hope I'm wrong about this. But after last night, I doubt it.

They will NOT take my Guns and I don't care if RUS'S Buddy likes it or not!

Maybe they will take them!

But it will be from my dead cold Hands!

They will try to push it, just a matter of time. The are banking that we will react like the Jews did in Germany ( If I give them my guns, maybe they will leave me and my loved ones alone?). Just as that mentality didn't work for the Jews it will not work for us. Let's hope the Sheep Dogs are alert and protect the Sheeple from the wolves...foreign or domestic.
PISS ON THE WOLVES!

Not again!!!
Do people really think we are going to have soldiers come to your doors and collect our guns? Sure there are some that would like too see this happen....the majority of even left leaning people would never stand for this. Stop over reacting.

Our soldiers and police alike would laugh at their superiors if we/they were told to carry this out.

deadibob, I strongly disagree that the people will just stand by and take it. There will come a point were we will be pushed past a point and action will be taken. The constitution will be saved but not in washington. It will be saved by the people. You are right, we have taken this garbage so far and will continue to to a point. We will be pushed to act. And we will.

Dude I do not see them coming and taking what we have, however I do see them making it so cumbersome and regulated that getting one for the collection will be impossible. This agreement will set limits on what you can buy, it will require a numbering/tracking system for ammo, etc. This will all cost us money.

I am not saying they will be at my door, but over time they will make it to where they will not need to be at our doors because no one will be able to but new guns....

The reality is some of us in the heartland will stand up and fight back if it comes to confiscation. On the other hand, the ignorant masses on the coast will be employed by the government to enforce this scenario, and we will be cut down by their sheer numbers. If you think the morons who elected the fool wouldn't love to stomp on our rights and take what we have, then you aren't paying attention.
