Anelope Island last sat.???

Come on island participants.....somebody had to pick up something worth posting about.

Yes Matt, it really sucked. The number of hikers was down which was good for the animals. Only half the permit holders showed up and it was slim picking. I know Nate Jacobson picked up a big set that was a few years old. A friend had a good day finding 15, with 2 sets. Mostly old stuff. He said about 50 sheds got picked up by hikers in his area. I have seen one monster shed from the hike that is a year old and scores over 100 inches.

Nobody showed up at the ranch to show off their finds. Whats up with that. :)

On the first go round we picked up a bunch south of the ranch in a steep canyon with water, we had a couple that scored over 100 with no matches, and were still looking so if this is the general are that you were in post a pic, we'll see if we cant reunite some old sheds.. Thanks

I don't think as many sheds got picked up this time, but only because the number of hikers was down. I'll bet at least 100 more sheds were found. But again, mostly old stuff.

I know of two bucks I filmed this passed year that had both sides get picked up, and another one that a single was picked up. I also know of a big single that got picked up from a buck I filmed 3 years ago. I've seen or heard of several others that I saw, or a friend saw, that got picked up. I don't know about everyone else, but its fun seeing what has come off the island. No 40 inchers, but a couple that are close.

I hope everyone that found sheds will bring them to ANTLERFEST on June 10th at Cabelas. Lets match em up. Be sure to tell your friends.

I hiked for 12 hours and the other three guys in my group rode horses for the same amount of time and we found four very old little sheds that were all within a couple of feet of each other. I was fun to get out on the island but the shed hunting totally sucked.
