Am I too late?

I have never done the shed hunting thing before, but I thought it would be a great thing to do with the wife. Since Im a newbie, I have no idea when the right time to start is. Apparently, people are already finding quite a few. I frequent the Bookcliffs and will be out there next weekend to walk around a bit. Do you think it will be worth my time to head out? What percentage of all the deer and elk do you think have already dropped by this time? Any pointers you can give to a greenie?

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

Travis

This is the right time. Its a fine balance between too early, which this might just be a little, since many are still packin', and too late, everyone else has found them. Elk tend to be more Aprilish to May around here.

It's always the right time to be out in the hills. Go for it. Utah Bookcliff or Grand Junction?
