Alaska Moose Unit 23

Anyone planning a Moose hunt out of Kotzebue, AK? This will be the last year you can buy over the counter tags for unit 23. In 2005, they will all be by drawing. I hunted this unit a couple of years ago with a terrific outfitter and was planning on returning in a couple of years. Looks like I have to head back up early...what a bummer.

I have considered going there with Maverik Air '04 or 05.
I wonder how many tags will be avaliable?
