Alaska Moose Antlers #3 and #4

Weather conditions have been just right up here in Alaska, so we decided to go out to our secret spot again. We were looking for the matches to last weeks sheds, but instead we found two different one. So far for 2005 we've found 4 sheds no matched sets though! Unfortunately we are probably walking on some of them since the onces we found today were barely showing, oh well gives us something to do in the spring! For the Record...Jill is winning when it comes to sheds this year.

Very nice. What area of Alaska are you from? Do you collect them to use in art work? I've seen quite a few in various shops in Alaska that were carved and/or painted into beautiful pieces of art. Caribou antlers also.

You should be starting to see a little more daylight now that it's almost February. I heard it was something like -44 degrees in North Pole a couple weeks ago. It's been a chilly 45 here in Northern CA!:)

Thanks for the post.

We're originally from MONTANA, but have been in AK for about 3 years just for some adventure. We live in Anchorage, but get out to "Alaska" as much as we can. We are gaining about 5 minutes of light a day, so yes it is getting better. Funny to think that you are 80 degrees warmer than some areas of AK. We use our Antler for some art, check out the link to our website

Thanks for the reply.

Congrats on the finds. You all make some beautiful works of art out of those antlers. Keep the pics coming. Muledeernut

great looking cabin.

Awesome pictures. So exciting when tips are sticking just only inches out of the snow. Amazing website in all aspects. Sent you an email.

Wow!
You guy's put together a beautiful website!
Looks like you are "Loving Life"!
I fell in live with Alaska after my first trip there.
I have been back four times since and have several friends there, and have even threatened to move there myself.
Great work.
Thanks for sharing.
