Alan's Late 2004 Utah Deer

LAST EDITED ON Dec-03-04 AT 08:51PM (MST)[p] Well I got lucky and took this buck in the last week of the Hunt.
Made a nice 50 yard shot through both shoulders. Buck only went 80 yards......was gone in the first 40 yards.....just did not know it yet.
Mathew Q2 at 70 lbs, 530 total grain aluminum 2216 ( Including 125 Montec ).
This is a once in my lifetime deer for me. I usually do not see deer this big. Good thing that I did not have alot of time to look at him.
He goes around 183" right now.

Well is was not to far off from what I thought the score would be. The Official P & Y score is 181 7/8 gross and 173 1/8 net. I am going to enter him since I might not ever shoot a better one.

On another note: I have received a few emails about the above picture being in the new SFW Magazine and something about me being a collage student? What the heck is this about and how did my picture get in their magazine? I do not belong to SFW......who posted it and why? Alan

P.S.....gotta admit that the college student note was o.k. for this 43 year old!

Alan....nice buck man. I think I've seen this pic before? Didn't you shoot a similar buck the year before in the exact same spot or something like that?? Can't remember if it's the same one.
