Ayone know of a good soft cover for the newer style sts 80mm Swarovski spotting scope?

Check out Creedmoor. I bought one a couple years ago for my ATS Swaro for $35. They make them for the STS as well. It is made out of a padded Cordura, has all the zippered openings, and fits very well.

Ed,
Does that cover fit over the Scope while it is attached to a tripod or window mount??

I just got a reply back from Swarovski and they want $250.00 for a cover for the STS 65, what a rip off.

Brian

Brian,

Sure does!

It has a zipper along the base for the mount hole, a zippered hard objective end that has a velcro tab that holds it open on the bottom and the eyepiece end zippers length wise and velcros underneath so you can focus the scope. The cover seems quality made and Creedmoor makes alot of different shooting products, having been around for awhile. I think they are in SoCal.

I couldn't see spending the $250 either. They come in different solid colors; I ordered a brown color.

Ed,

I called them and ordered over the phone, as they need to update their website. Mine will be made to fit like a glove since I gave the make and model of my Swarovski. Will be in Brown since Blue wouldn't look good at all.

Got a Confirmation # and 3-5 days for shipping and also Tracking # to check on shipping, not bad for less than $45.00
SW wanted $250.00..............not from me.

Brian

Brian, let me know how you like your Creedmore cover. I bought the expensive Swaro cover two years ago and it is awesome but cost way too much. Drew.

Drew,
I will let you know how it turns out. Just couldn't see spending $250.00 for a cover by SW when this Creedmore is out the door for just under $45.00 and built to fit the spotter I have.
Would have liked to had it in Green, but brown will be fine.

Where's the action on Holloween Night in Elko??

Brian

No I totally understand what your talking about, and in fact that is what I am looking for in that creedmoor cover that always stays on the scope. There's now way I wa going to pay 225 for the swaro case.
But the one I showed from snug rug would be nice if the scope fits with the creedmore case one when enrout.

I emailed Creedmoor, I'm still wondering if they make a cover for the newer sts80 model since they don't list it. But from what I gather from you guys they do correct?

Thanks

Chad,
I called Creedmore directly and talked with a lady there and told her what spotter I had and that is what the people will go by in order to make mine to fit.
When traveling, I keep it in the original case and the body & lens separate inside.
I do have another case I bought from Cabela's a few years back that would hold the spotter, tripod and I could sling it over my should or carry it by hand.

That unit above that you posted is a nice looking case though.

Brian

Brian, the action in Elko is always whereever I happen to be, ha ha. Honestly though, you could go to the Stockmans Casino, Matties or The Watering Hole in Spring Creek and have a good time. If your coming to Elko we'll have to hook up and this time no ditching me. I always love to talk hunting with another obsessed hunter such as myself. On another note, thanks for letting me borrow your Magnum Muley DVD collection. I will be sending them back soon. They are some great videos and you just can't help but like David Long. I got the chance to meet him in Salt Lake City and he seems to be a real good guy. Talk to ya later Kilo. fatrooster.

Would one of you guys explain to me swarovski's thinking when they made that nice aluminum case that you have to break the scope down to fit into ?? How worthless. I think I'll order that soft carrying case.

JB

JB,
You are right, it is just another gimmic I guest but it is shorter than the one shown above. Might have to look into that one too. The longer one I might have a problem storing it in my Safe due to limited space now.
Gee, that might be a reason to buy a Larger safe. LOL

Brian

fatrooster, are they going to have a running with the bulls over the 4th in elko? i normally pass through around then going to mucca.

I imagine that they will REDDOG. Thay have had them for the last several years. Its a Basgue thing. Whats in Winnemucca? fatrooster.

Chad,

I called Creedmoor after reading these postings since they didn't list a cover for my ATS 65. Gina told me they had one in stock and would send it right out. I ordered it on Monday and received it on Wednesday. A great cover and at less than $43 including shipping it really beats the $250 that Swarovski wants.
