My Dad died in 2008 and he appreciated a good practical joke.
Us kids have been cleaning out his house getting it ready to sell. Buried in the back of his tool shed I found this metal box with a hinged lid. It must weigh 25 pounds. Not wanting to just throw it away, my brother and I got an idea.
We found a jar with some pennies hidden by the box, and an old padlock.
We put the pennies in the box and locked it up. I threw the key away.
Last night we drove down along the Bay to the old railroad tracks (Dad worked on the railroad) and we chucked the box out in the weeds. It's about 100 feet from the Bar Fly, a local watering hole.
Eventually someone will discover it and have to take it home to cut the lock off. At that point the box will be their problem.
Dad would get a good laugh!

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!
