a little region F help

A friend talked me into applying for region F with him this year. I applied sight unseen and hadn't done any research as he said he had family that hunted there in the past. Come to find out they hunt sunlight basin in I believe unit 106. I've been pouring over maps, google ect... trying to familarize myself with the region, I just can't seem to find much on it. Mainly what I'm looking for are areas to camp that are wall tent friendly. and I take it the nearest services will be in Cody. Short of the museum is there anything else my wife and I should check out while were up there?
lastly if there are any other tid bits of imformation anyone would be willing to share either here or through PM I would be more than greatful

Get on Google earth and search for Sunlight Basin. On the way into Sunlight there are a number of campgrounds, Dead Indian Campground, Sunlight Basin Campground, Little Sunlight, there are a few to choose from. They do get used pretty good so you may have to go around to find one you want to stay at.

You WILL see bears, there is no doubt, you WILL see them, just be mind full of what you are doing. Remember there are rules when camping in there. Use the bear boxes, don't leave anything in your trucks, ect... Also use the game poles that are provided in each camp ground if you are successful.

Remember the wilderness rule if you are a non-resident, get a good map or a GPS with a chip so you know where you are at, you can run into wilderness pretty quick the higher you go.

Check the weather, there is a camera and weather station at the top of Dead Indian, use those will tell you what to expect. The weather in Sunlight will be totally different than in Cody, DO NOT open your truck doors if the wind is blowing at the top of Dead Indian. It can get get crazy cold, be prepared especially in a wall tent. I spent an elk hunt that averaged -15 below for a week in there, everything froze.

Sunlight is a great place, you will see lots of animals, mule deer, white tail, elk, moose, bears, and probably some wolves.

I'd suggest looking into some of the small cabins in the area to rent. During the Yellowstone off season lodging is fairly inexpensive. The wind can be downright brutal in the area which could make wall tent camping tricky. The bears and all the regulations with food storage make tent camping a little bit of a headache also.
