A leupold rifleman or nikon prostaff

I was looking to buy a new scope for my 270 savage. I've been looking at the leupold rifleman 3x9x40, and the nikon prostaff 3x9x50. both are about the same price. which scope is better ? clearer and sharper leupold or nikon?? your input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

I just had the same dilemma.
Compare the 2 side by side. I don't like the nikon reticle, and the leopold was lighter so I bought leopold.

Both are good, not great, I would opt to spend a little more and upgrade. I own both but my prostaff is a 40mm. Go with a varix-2 at minimum. You wont regret it.
