my best set ever. 290 class.

and yesterday. i had found a few deer sheds but not much. the sun is behind the mountain and i am tired. 60 yards from the truck in a daze i run right into this 5 point elk

i had been up this road 2 weeks earlier but decided to drive a little farther to see if the otherside was close to it. well 50 yards of driving and i see this

lol i could not believe it. i glass the clearing from the set and there is my match to the 5 point 150 yards out! 4 fresh elk in the last 5 minutes of the day

and my truck stayed a night in the hills :roll:

Thanks for sharing! Not your ordinary adventure...great antler finds, awesome elk "scenery", a dead cougar, stuck vehicle,and wyao,too. I wish more of mine turned out like yours...except I've had my own share of "stucks". Hunting, always an adventure!
