Just got on the shed hunters forum for the first time in a while...looks like some of you guys are kickin' butt! I thought I'd share a few "as they lay" pictures with you. I sure am finding more wolf-kills (and wolves) this year than I'd like...I'd much rather find their sheds and know they are growing a new set for next year! Happy huntin' fellas!

My buddy and I are seeing a lot of wolves and finding a lot of dead stuff too. What area of the country are you from?

These are Wyoming sheds. In one area I hunt, we found 9 wolf-kills within' a half-mile radius, and we've seen at least one of the wolves every time I've been there.

I hunt and shed hunt in wyoming too. The wolves are killing everything. We have found a number of winter wolf or winter kills all in the same area. It looks like to me like all the wolves are killing the young and the prime.

were any of those sheds mathes, those are some biggies, best of luck to ya.

The 2nd & 3rd pictures are of a decent set. They were laying about 30 yards apart...should score about 352 w/ a 40" spread. Main beams are 54+" each side.

Good luck to you too NFH!

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Those are very nice pics and finds. But i must ask. Are you 100% certain that everything you find dead is killed by wolves? Some are obvious but it seems as though many people just assume every time they find something dead, it had to be wolves. Not discrediting what you have found, it just seems like too many people blame everything that died on wolves. A ranch hand North of Yellowstone watched an old bull this winter lay down and a day later was dead. Shortly after, some wolves came in and got their feast. Most that stumble across something like that would assume it was killed by the wolves but it isn't always the case.

BTW, if you saw that wolf every time you went, how come he is still there:)
