Im sure most of us know the Allan Jackson song ''Where were you when the world stopped turning'', so , where were you on that fate full day ? I was laying in a hospital bed after breaking my hip in U.S.M.C boot camp the day before . Really crappy news to wake up to .

I was building a temporary airfield on the coast
next to Camp Pendleton when we were called into
a muster. We're told to go back to the barracks and
check all our gear because this was an act of war. It took
awhile but two years later I was in a convoy on my way
to Baghdad.

I was teaching a Hazmat refresher course at the Chemical Weapons Disposal Facility in Tooele. That was a sad day and we shut down due to a chance of threat. Those SOBs really changed things that day and we will never be the same. The important thing is to NE er give in and stand up against evil like that.

I was drivin to work and heard it on the radio. Went to the local bar and grill to watch it on tv. Knowing what I know of construction I knew what would happen if the steel columns got too hot. Went home at noon without working to watch what I could on tv. Went fishin with a buddy at a high country lake that weekend, it was oddly peaceful, yet strange, being on the water with no jets overhead.
