This is what took place 6 hours after the re-election of president Obama: "The UN General Assemblies Dept. Comittee moved quickly after Obama's win to approve a resolution calling for a new round of talks on March 18-28, 2013. It passed with 157 votes in favor/none against".

Quoted from Reuters Novermber 7, 2012. This special meeting is calling for a WORLDWIDE DISARMAMENT BAN ON GUNS Led by the United Nations. So this means that our United States Constitution second ammendment "the right to bear arms" will become null and void.

This may mean nothing to people who don't own a gun, or want to have anything to do with firearms, but me personally, it is a huge part of my life and providing for my family. So this means, piece by piece our Constitutional rights are being stripped away. Does anybody care? One of the rights YOU enjoy, may be next...Does anyone care?

I'm sure you know that the only way firearms could be banned in the United States would be to amend the second amendment of the constitution. This would require a two thirds majority in congress. It would not come about because of the UN or by Presidential decree. And I don't take you seriously, ever.

all the UN needs is something in place that is vague but can be altered slowly so no one knows whats happened when they go get your gun's because they were all taken slowly. some People think if the the government is just going to enforce marshall law an try to take our guns. Do you really think the socialists in office are that stupid. Look how far they made it and what has changed ever so slowly and how america has grown to accept Their fate and vote for this communistic movement now...

Ummmm... Manny, Obama was re-elected on Tuesday. I agree with you that was not a good thing for us. However, I don't remember anything on my ballot that allows the UN to take over America and run the country.
 
Although i hate Obama's very existance, this ban will NEVER happen on our soil.......it's foolish to even think they would try!!
Now get your ass away from the BS propaganda and take a kid rabbit hunting this weekend and keep our 2nd ammendment alive for the next generation!!

Oh come on Ox, have you not read the UN resolution??? Even if it were to pass it would not affect private gun ownership in America. Obama could not and would not be stupid enough to try and force such a thing. Even a bovine should be able to figure out that would bring about civil war. Obummer won't go there.

+1 Beanman!! That's why it didn't seem right to me and i looked it up.

Any Pres by now knows, they had best leave our firearms alone!

Also, there is enough going on to worry about. Myself, i have to get through winter with hardly any work in sight. And, I don't want to see another big ammo scare where you can't get it at all or the price is out of hand!

I wouldn't know a liberal from conservative political reference if it snuck up and bit me on the hand!

It's foolish for anyone to think that they won't try to take our guns eventually; anyone that is not concerned by the constant attack on our rights to bear arms has their heads up their butt's!!!

Remember that gun registration leads to gun confiscation.

I dont like the way this country is headed, but it is still America, my home and my country. If America is destroyed it will be from with in. To many sheep in country standing by & to many lazy politicians doing nothing so they can hold on to their seat and their salary. IMO it is not so much if goverment will someday attempt to take our guns but when, either way it is going be a bloody mess in the end I am sure.

Well then my head will remain inserted in my butt as it is comfortable there knowing that registering and confiscating all our weapons and abolishing our 2nd ammendment right is just a gloom and doom waste of time. There is NO WAY in hell that they could force us all to do an immediate mandatory gun registration, think about the dynamics here!! I am one microscopic gun owner in this country who has at least 15 weapons that are NOT restered in my name. Guns that were given as gifts or inherited. I'll be damned if i'm going to run right down and put them in my name because some a$$ clown communist president is telling me to do so, this is the United States Of America and always will be!!!.....and there are MILLIONS of others that share this stance with 10x the guns i RIGHTFULLY own!!
Go ahead, panic, run down and spend your paycheck on ammo and reloading supplies, the ammo companies love this because it drives their profits through the roof with supply and demand!!

Ok i'm done with this post, i'm taking my gifted, unregistered .204 out for some coyote action today ;-)

I clearly remember four years ago when Obama came into office.
There were dozens of posts here on MM about how no one could find any .223 ammo or reloading supplies because of the senseless panic it caused.....it was rediculous!
How many gloom and doomers that did get ammo and paid 3x it's real value 4 years ago from that mess still have it sitting in their homes and shops unused???

You never saw me say he wouldn't get elected. Romney didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected. We're now a country of the "entitled" and he's their messiah.
