5575 or 7595

I would like an opinion from you experts. I shoot a Mathews QX2. I am sure my poundage is in the 55-75 pound rage. I had a guy tell me that a 7595 gold tip arrows would shoot just as good if not better than the 5575 gold tip. I know the difference between the 2 is just the stuffness of the arrow. I also know that the 7595 arrows are cheaper. So my question is: Would you shoot a 7595 arrow out of a bow with the weight of 70 pounds, is there enough difference to justify the extra cost of the 5575 gold tip? Or would you save some cash and go 7595?

I shoot the 7595s and have never noticed a price difference between the two you mentioned. I shoot 70lbs out of a Hoyt bow, my arrows are 26-1/2" long tipped with a 125 grn head. Now I could shoot the 5575 with this setup and have, but prefer a little more weight and stiffness the 7595 offers, this is mainly my elk setup! The stiffer spine offers less flex in the shaft, therefore giving me more penetration. This is exactly what I look for especially for elk.--- For those more marginal shots like quartering to you, or less than perfect quartering away where a little more penetration would be needed is where I like the stiffer spine.

Of course the 5575 will do the trick in most cases in the proper setup, but I just like 7595 better!! And yes, the heavier arrow will fly fine out of your setup. If the 5575 works well, so will the 7595. ElkNut1

I agree with elknut1. I shoot the 7595's also. I am shooting 72lbs and for some reason I was having problems with the 5575's so I switched to the others and have had no problems at all. I like having the little extra weight. I don't think that there was any difference in price that I can remember.

I experienced better flight with broadheads using the 3d pros in the higher spine stiffness. I could have gone with either shafts due to the length and poundage I shoot. If you are shooting field points only I think you will see similar consistency either way, but with broadheads I would opt for a stiffer spine if you're on the fence between the two.

Good luck

I have shot both and for my set up have done better with the 7595's. I'm at 65 lbs with a 31" draw and 28" arrow.

The Gold Tip chart has been questioned as to whether it is accurate. When I called them they suggested that if you are on the split between 5575 and 7595 it is best to be conservative and go with the 7595's.

I had not seen a difference in cost. You may lose a bit of speed with the 7595's but I don't worry about it.

I really like these arrows - waaay better than aluminum.
