5 Point Elk Shed from the Deer Hunt

Here's a 5 point elk shed I found while on the deer hunt this year. Coulda had the set, but I saw another hunter pick up the other side the day before (I guess he didn't notice this one). I don't intentionally hunt for sheds, but I do pick them up whenever I come across them. However, I may have to seriously consider it as a new hobby with my boy getting older. He thinks sheds are the next best thing to getting a buck!

Yeah, all my son wanted to do when we got home was tell anyone and everyone who would listen about the shed we found. Looks like he's hooked. But the way I see it, it's just another incentive to get out in the mountains (as if I need another one).

If you dont mind me asking, where were you hunting. Im curious because I picked one side to a 5 point elk shed...just want to make sure Im not the idiot who missed the other side that you got!!

I do feel better now. Im sure the match is still up there somewhere, just have to go look!!

I'll try and post a pic of it this weekend. I was pretty stoked, its my first elk shed ever....and the first shed I've found in the last 3 years!!
