LAST EDITED ON Feb-17-13 AT 11:35AM (MST)[p]Well only one more year from this date and it will be 50 Years since I went into the US Army....02/17/1964...at age 22....one step ahead of the draft board.

Some of my buddies from there, we meet every two years in Vegas, we plan on going back in 2015 for our 50th Reunion when we were together over there. Looking forward to it although the night life won't be the same.....but memories will be there.

Will be looking for what is left of the "old Bar's" where we got drunk there if any are left in Saigon/Cholon area too.

I plan on going up to Danang and see the NEW CHINA BEACH and how it has been changed.

Maybe meet a few of your kids in the Saigon/Cholon area?:)

I always wanted to take my Dad back to England/France/Germany where he served in WWII, but he refused to go.

That should be an emotional reunion Brian.

Dang Kilo.. I was only 12 in 64. Thanks for all you did. I know you didn't get the thanks you deserved in 1964. Pretty cool that you still get to hang with your brothers.

I was just there with my wife and two boys this past summer. Spent time up in Hue, Danang (China Beach), Nha Trang, and Saigon. If you have any questions or want some information let me know. I'll send you my email address or phone number.

Thanks alot guys it is very much appreciated but too many never made it home, that is the sad part.

Still have a couple of years before we go, but looking forward to it anyway.

HoofsUp....thanks for the offer, send me either or both if you like. I do have a few questions although two of the buddies have been back but would like your opinions as well.

Sounds like you were at some of the same places and around the same time as my older brother who was in the Seabees. I followed along later, serving in Thailand but never made the Viet Nam trip. Thanks for being there and congratulations on making it home safe.
