anybody have any opinions towards why fish & game put up a controlled mulie hunt in 30a?

It's an attempt to provide a quality hunt. Hunter opinion surveys said it was important to hunters. Hunters were willing to make the trade-offs required ie. controlled rather than general hunt, displacing hunters, and decreased opportunity. Grand idea that I really hope works.

i hunted it several years ago.. had a blast until an out of state hunter blew my shot at a 190 class mulie before he could close the distance another hundred yards.....i really don't remember another time that i've ever cussed so much

....damn outta state hunters...a local would never do something like that.
