Does anyone reload for a 300wsm? Which powder/bullet combo do you use? I want to start reloading for my ruger and would appreciate any help.
thanks

Norma brass,
66.5 gr IMR 4831
Federal gold match large magnum rifle primers
Nosler Accubond 180 gr.

I am getting 3/4 groups with this load out of my Remington SPS.

I have a Browning 300 short and love it. I use 130 grain Barnes TSX bullets with 67 grains of Big Game powder and Winchester brass. Can't remember the primers off hand. Very accurate round out of my rifle. Good luck!

I myself use a Savage 300 wsm
Varget 57 gr
cci Magnum Primers
180 gr Combined Technology Silver tip

I shoot a 168gr Barnes TSX
66 grains Ramshot Big Game
Federal Gold Medal Match Magnum Primer
Winchester Brass
3107 FPS average
out of a Winchester Mdl 70 with a 24" barrel, 5/8 three shot groups, works great on elk and deer!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-19-10 AT 00:22AM (MST)[p]accurate mag pro has worked awesome for me with cci 250 mag primers with my 165 accubonds I use 72 grains and get 3000fps. with the 125 billistic tips I use 77.5 grains and get 3450fps.give or take 10-20 fps it's been awhile since I checked them. both loads will put all three shots touching.Man I love reloading!

Currently I'm trying 67 gr RL22 and IMR4831 65.5gr both with Norma brass and 180gr accubonds for my Weatherby vanguard.

I've got an A-bolt in 300 wsm.

I don't reload, but I've shot about every factory load, and funny enough, the cheap power point bullets shoot the most accurate out of my rifle- under one inch. Better than the premium federals and winchesters.

I shot a Winchester M70 Sporter 24" barrel
Hornday Interbond 165 grain
67 1/2 RL-17
CCI 250 primer
Winchester Brass
FPS is running right at 3150
3/4" three round groups

400bull

I've got a Sako .270 that is exactly the same as yours.I've tried 'em all and it has always liked plain-jane Winchester Powerpoints the best. And not just by a little bit...
