My wife made the executive decision to close down the salon today. 18 girls out of work including my wife. 3 incomes down to 1...I'm a little pissed. This means none of those 18 girls will be paying rent April 1st. The argument I tell my wife is that they are independent contractors....we shouldn't have to take ALL the liability and hit financially on closing the salon due to gov't mandates. We don't employ them and have month to month contracts with them. They are their own entity. I will lose the argument and maybe a month hit won't be as bad in the long run. It is a sad day when a woman can't go get her hair did. Gonna be lots of ugly, ratty lookin' women in this neck of the woods. LOL
