285 wolves to date in 2011-2012

We are approx 100 ahead of 09/10 season with a few month to go. I think that is a significant improvement and better than expected. Southern Mountain units are near their quota, but plenty available in other units. Seems like the trappers are really figuring it out. Should be a help to the deer/elk/moose this year.

I'm going bear hunting up in the clearwater in May. Will there be a new quota started then?

I doubt it... besides there's no quota limit right now so why worry? Just make sure you're in one of the zones thats open till June 30th and not March 30th and that you have 2012 tags!

I wish they all went to june 30. The most wolves I havve seen is during the spring bear hunts I have been on.

I have a 2011 tag, and that' good enough to just shoot and look the other way if the season is closed. When in doubt, through them wolves out!!!! Bull Sh_t on them tree huggers. It's time to take back what's ours.
