27 inch eye-guard

fella i know brought me in this elk shed...at sometime it must have broken its' main beam during early growth, or something....then the growth went into the eye-guard, and the knot on the main beam...any other ideas? the other side of the rack was a normal sized 6 point...

Great looking shed! Musta walked right on it! From a distance it could alsmost past as a stick. It's still awesome to find abnormal sheds! I wonder if it was a one time growth or not, I could imagine finding his sheds at about nine years of age! Dream on I guess! Thanks for the pic

I found a similar shed last year, it broke its mainbeam in velvet so the remaining nutrients went into the eyeguard. Heres a pic of it and the 2nd pic is with its match.

Also here is a pic i took this summer of a unique bull, its ugly but i'll still like to find that dropper shed!

it must be pretty common, i found one in 1999 and i know of a couple other ones here in oregon

Littlefoot, is that shed from the bull you had pics of a couple months ago?
 
I think that would have been a legal bull here in Wa. Would've been something if someone shot him on a spike tag.
