I see my 11 LE deer points had me lucky for drawing.


It will be fun hunting the pre rut Oct 30---into November and to be seeing Rams too.

The deer hunt I drew (Henry ALW) must suck. I was the only one to apply with 28 points. There were 14 potential nonresident applicants, 5 ahead and 9 with me going in for 2 tags, so I was not feeling it was anywhere close to a sure deal. Only 5 of the 9 with me at 28 points applied to draw tags on any hunt, all 5 ahead and 4 with 28 points must have done points only or didn't apply. Oh well, I'll have fun hunting, sucky hunt or not!

It's nice to have 25 points for moose, and still be 10-13 years out form a guaranteed tag

Letting nonresidents apply for everything killed random odds for the less popular ones like bison and mountain goat. There was not a nonresident tag drawn for either above the massive 15 and below point pools that started with the 15 point pool going in this year.

Exactly. And doubles or triples the number of NR applicants for deer, elk….

If they changed it to applying for one tag, but still allow
for points across the board, they would still put in for points, so the state makes the same money. And our odds increase dramatically!

Remember you can put in for all species, but we can only draw one tag. If you draw, you are pulled out of other drawings.
