Buck fever got the best of Weston and he missed the deer I ended up killing. We kept after it and he was able to continue his upward trend, 3 deer the last 3 years with each one bigger than the last. Not bad for a 12 year old! After he got his he was convinced I needed to shoot the buck he missed, and at that request we went after him but I was only pulling the trigger of he was very involved and right there with me watching! He's a very nice buck, but not as big as I wanted with plenty of time left to hunt and the rut coming. But I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. We stalked in on them and watched him and 5 other bucks for almost 2 hours before I pulled the trigger, following his lead. He watched my bullet and ripples through the deer in the binos, "ope that's a dead deer dad!!!" Weston anchored his buck with the 7.6 Creedmoor and 175 bergers. I used my 300wsm with 180 sciroccos.
