I have been doing some research on deer units 128,105 and 90. I was thinking about applying for one of them for next year with max points. Does anybody have any recommendations or suggestions on either of these units or any other units. Are they worth using max points for? I have hunted region H before but don't really want to use my points for this region. Maybe I will just keep banking points.

128 and 105 suck, go with 90.

That said I also have max points and I'm either going to hunt 105 or 128 as soon as I can draw out. as has been debated here before what are the chances of WY having a hunt worth waiting 20 years for ? I'd say slim so why not burn the points on a good hunt and start over again.

I hunted 128 in the late 90's and my wife drew it in '11. compared to my hunt hers was depressing. quantity and quality were way down. but I love the unit and would hunt it again anyway.

105 I'm very interested in but know little about. I've seen some pictures of some slammers fron that hunt but the average buck isn't impressive. so I don't know what to tell you.

Stay thirsty my friends

If you look at the bucks coming out of Wyoming G/H are still the best units in the state for big bucks. 128 is a shadow of what it once was....if you want to burn points I would say 90 or 89. 87 used to be decent but they did not even issue any NR tags in that unit this year so you would be wasting your time there....

I wouldn't do 90 either. Its a fun hunt for 130-160 deer with most hunters shooting something in the 130-150 range. The desert area is so vast and the deer have lots of places to hide. There are a couple huge bucks that get taken, but the same can be said of any general season area too.
