3 rd trip...On the second trip I found a single brown 7 point, so I went back to look for the other side, found a 6 point set and 7 other sheds but not the 7.

2 days ago I found a hard white big 5 point and it was around a lot of big bull tracks from this spring so I went back, Found nothing but people foot prints for 4 solid hours. Not one shed. So I crossed over 2 drainages so I coulod walk some fresh real estate on the way out and Bam Bam Bam found the same bull one year earlier then a small 5. Then 4 horns under the same tree then a single and a 3 point deer shed. All On the way back to the truck. No Browns again, but maybe I'm just blind.

In my left hand is the 5 point same side same bull as a couple days earlier. No I gotta look for the 2 right sides.

No, I parked on the public section and came out below the utes property. But the pic was taken where I got picked up while I was walking up the road to the truck. I should delete it anyway since I already find enough people tracks when I go out without telling locals where I was. Too late to delete, Guess I shoulda cropped.

I actually met 3 utes way up in the canyon before I had found anything and my decision to cross over two ridges was so i could give them some space and because they had obviously cleaned it out. They showed me a pic of a brown 6 they had found in the bottom and I told them if I found it I would bring it to them. They waited at the truck to see if I found anything on the way out and were surprised I had found that many so quick. Since i didn't find any brown they weren't too jealous. By being polite and assuring them I would not hunt their property without them, I secured an invite to hunt with them next week. I don't "stick it" to anyone. What I do is go on google earth and find the furthest point from any road and head there. Most of the time elk are in those areas. Also most of the time people are not. That area as it turns out gets hit hard, I just got lucky on a bench most people wouldn't want to and probably couldn't climb up onto.

You never know what you will get when you run into the Utes out there. Most of them I am Friends with but...

Last year I was down on old 95 on the 4 wheeler and had found 2 deer sheds. I came up through whiskers to head toward milk ranch and while on the county road got stopped by 2 utes who told me they were taking my antlers. I assured them they were not since I was not nor had I ever been on ute land. I spent a tense hour quietly holding my ground as they threatened and blustered. When they finally realized I wasn't going to just hand them even 2 crusty antlers to appease them, they laughed and said they had only been joking with me and I was welcome to cross their land if I wanted (It was obvious they had not been joking). That's a very abbreviated story that could have ended badly. But I leave private land to the owners.

The picture was taken on the county road where I was hiking back to the truck, and was taken more than a mile from where any of the sheds were found. I have pics of where the sheds were found and they are all from Public land.

Someone is trying to cause trouble.

Lesson Learned, I won't be posting to this forum again.

I'm just messin with you Whitetips. I have no idea where you were or what the circumstances were. I just thought it was funny that you decided to take a picture of your sheds on Indian property. Why not take the pic on the public land? You kind of set yourself up for that one.

We all mistakes, nobody is accusing you of breaking the law.
