2011 Stats are out

F&G has posted the 2011 big game stats. Depressing numbers...

No - I'll still be out...wouldn't miss the opportunity to be out with my son in the hills. I would like to have better odds at filling the freezer, lol.

I've been here and hunting every season since 04'. It seems that my experience has been that it got better from 04-07, then went downhill after the big kill from the mid Oct storms. I reviewed the General Rifle hunt stats from 04:

10 111k 32.0k 29.0% 36.2%

11 114k 31.5k 27.6% 40.6%

I looked quickly also at 02 and 03 where the take was also in the very low 30k's.

So it appears to me, at least for the last 10-12 years that years 05-07 were an anomoly, not the others.
