nice horn...u know u are gonna get blasted now by hornkiller & a few others for being out so early trying to get those brownies so early in the year...

LAST EDITED ON Jan-29-10 AT 09:48AM (MST)[p]Yup, I know I probably will.
The fact is, I know shed hunting ethics and when I can move into an area and when I can't. I also know that the Chukar hunt is still open and that's the reason for being up there in the first place. The deer have left this area and there is little to no snow where they were. They tend to move higher up the mountain as the sun shows and melts away the snow. I have every right to go Chukar hunting and If find a shed, you bet I'm going to pick it up.
So bring it on!!!

Nice shed hope you didn't have to hike miles & miles for it and your story didn't change 15 times did you get some birds?

amen brother U & I & anyone else that wants to pick up horns has the right to do so.. as long as we are not spooking the animals .. there are a few people on this site that like to add their opinions of how we should & when we should horn hunt..if u dont pick it up someone else more than likely will...good hunting to ya

Like I said before, My friend found it. It was right above a neighborhood in the hills and he didn't hike even a mile. He didn't shoot any chukars as he only had about an hour or so. I'll be heading up Saturday as long as the snow doesn't push the animals back down and the weather remains decent.

I hope that bird hunt gets shorter. alot of shed hunters are now bird hunters. do the math....
