Here are pictures of some of the sheds that my brother and I have picked up since mid january here in the Interior of British Columbia. With the big snow melt a few weeks ago shed hunting in the kamloops area has been fairly good. One more week and i will have a week off of school. Im hoping to find a whack of tine during that period!

Steve found this shed on saturday while i was busy studying for midterms.

Pictures from February 9, 2005.
This shed was mostly burried, but was still fairly easy to spot. It ended up being just a small 4 point so i hung it in the tree.

My brothers second find of the day, he found an old 2 point before this one.

My first brown shed of the year. It was a little hard to see under the inch of snow. A nice 4 point with stickers on the back fork adding to its character.

A better look.

Steves first fresh matched set, found in mid January. A nice young non-typical buck! Steve ended up finding 6 sheds, while I only found 1 small shed.

Totals for the year are 4 for me and Steve has 3 matched sets, 2 are fresh and one set from last year, 1 fresh 2 point and quite a few older sheds.

Matt,
Those are some nice looking sheds for this early in the season. I really like that little nontypical that Steve found. Would be cool to watch that guy grow up. :)
Have only found one shed thus far myself, a big ol' one that has been on the ground for a lot of years. It don't have much for tine length but has a lot of MASS. I'll have to take some pics of it this weekend.
Still a lot of snow around here. Still will be a while before my numbers will be anything close to yours and Steve's.
BTW, tell Steve to get a haircut. :)

Mattb,

Nice finds - thanks for sharing.

I'm going to be in Kamloops in mid-March and hope to do some shed hunting while I'm there. Do you have any suggestions about where I should start? I'm not looking for your honey holes, but if you could point me in a general direction, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks for any help.

Looks like some nice BC bone . Thanks for sharing keep them comen .

I would take a look in the timber above the thompson river-pretty much anywhere as long as there is a lot of doug fir around. Finding sheds takes nothing but a little energy and some luck. There will be days when you find no sheds and days when you find lots, so just stick with it.
