141-162 deer dates in 2012?

What is the story on the dates for this hunt? Recently I heard they were shortened making the hunt less desirable. I looked at the 2011 regs and the hunt stayed open until Oct. 31, but was only open on Forest Service lands after Oct. 22.

What did the dates used to be?

Are there still deer on Forest Service in the end of Oct? Are there lots of deer on BLM or other lands that time of year?

Anybody know what the dates will be in 2012?

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

The only thing I can tell you is that the season dates will not be finalized and official until the Rules & Regulations are published in a couple months.
