I am new to the site and after many long years I was fortunate to draw a late Mule deer tag in 105, 106,109. I was hoping to get some information as a starting point so anything would be helpful. I appreciate the help and thanks.

MH lives up that way and knows the areas well! 109 doesn't have that much public land in looking at the map of that unit. The western 1/3 or more of 106 is wilderness that you would have to have a licensed guide or a resident with the proper G&F paperwork. If you are going to do a solo DIY hunt, it looks like the eastern half of 106 would be where to concentrate your efforts and the closer to the rut late in the season would definitely be when I was there if you can't hunt the entire two week season.

Also I would suggest staying in Cody it can be extremely could up there that time of year.
I think it was a 25-30 minute drive to the Hunting area I stayed up there all day so it wasn't that bad.

Congratulations on drawing the tag. I have been trying to draw that tag for many years. With such poor odds I jumped ship and burned my points on a region G tag.
All I can offer is that listen to whatever MH tells you.
Good luck on your hunt and make sure you come back on here after the hunt and post pics/story when you are done. Nothing worse than guys that ask for help on here and then never hear back on how their hunt went.

I will second the thought of listening to MH. Good luck with your hunt, I look forward to seeing photos.
