10 Gauge buckshot .... Where to get it????

I picked up a 10 gauge pump gun recently pretty cheap. The idea is to use it for coyotes.

Problem is I cannot find any lead buck shot for it at all. The places I am finding it, they no longer have any in stock and cannot tell me when they will.

There is a place called Buchanan Ammunition that appears to carry several types of buckshot, but, the phone just rings and rings.

Anyone know where I can buy some at a semi reasonable cost????

Done that. Best site was that Buchanan Ammo site, that does not answer their phone.

I bought slugs and buckshot at Cabela's just a few weeks ago for my 10ga. I would assume they sell it in the catalog as well.

They are loaded by Federal.

Looks like the website says backorder..sorry,lol

it also looks like Environ Metal is coming out with Dead Coyote loads for the 10ga finally.

That ammobank appears to have in stock. The others say backorder as well.

If you plan to really shoot your 10 you need to start handloading asap I can throw up to 2-1/2 oz. for turkey or down to 1-1/4 for pheasants, steel shot never goes on sale for the 10 and lead is always on "backorder" It's a very versatile guage IF you handload I've got slugs 000 buck 00 buck 4 buck BB, 2+4 loaded up where are you at??? Try a 2-1/2 oz load of 7-1/2 on the pattern board if you want to be impressed!!

Squirrel, I think you may be right.

However, I am not a handloader kind of guy. I have to many hobbies with demands on my time.

I would just be happy to find some good buckshot and then use it sparingly on coyotes as the opportunity arises.

I am in SE New Mexico.

That's a long drive to stop on by!! I'm in n-c co. I don't think I'm allowed to mail the stuff according to the posters on the PO wall! Find someone local who has a press they'll whip you out a lifetime supply in 1/2 hr. 5 000 bucks in a bps is the ultimate home defense setup, the slugs are great to let chest thumpers abuse their shoulders 1-2/3 oz. ouch!!

Everything you need to be a speciality handloader is available at ballistic products- great company to do business with as well. Hulls are a bit pricey so I walk a "firing line scenario" where the goose hunters pass shoot by the case and inevitably there are lots of 10 hulls mixed in with the hundreds of 12'ers. It's leased property but I go mid-day so I don't piss off the hunters and have never been hassled for picking up the trash once I tell people what I'm doing.
